Warning issued after series of Calderdale burglaries

Over the last week there has been only six burglary dwellings in the Calderdale area.

Burglars targeted a house that was under renovation and another where entry was gained through an insecure window.

On two occasions the doors were forced open.was a domestic occurrence with the offender and victim were known to each other

A spokesperson for Calderdale police said: "This is a low number but still too high.

"Residents of Calderdale can get a free crime prevention advice from our crime prevention officers.

"In Calderdale all reports of residential burglary are investigated by a team of dedicated Crime detectives."
