THE owner of a waste disposal site has appeared in court facing five charges brought by the Environment Agency.
David Turner, 51, of Broad Ings Farm, Rishworth, who runs the waste site at Farrar Mill, Siddal, Halifax, appeared at Calderdale Magistrates’ Court to face two charges of exceeding the amount of waste he was allowed, one of receiving waste outside permissable hours and two of operating without a permit.
All offences were said to have happened between March and May this year. He will appear back at the court on August 31 for committal to crown court.
He was released on conditional bail.
