A woman was knocked unconscious in an attack after she got out of a taxi in Halifax.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the on Saturday 14 March.

Between 2.20 and 2.30am, the victim was in a taxi driving along the A629 Keighley Road, between the junction of Moor Lane and Beechwood Road.

The victim, a woman in her 30s, and her partner were involved in an argument with the driver and the victim was assaulted after getting out of the taxi.

She was knocked unconscious and was taken to hospital for treatment for her injuries.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the assault or the aftermath of the assault or anyone who came to the aid of the victim to come forward.
