Crowds turn out for 70th anniversary agricultural show
Thousands of people turned out to the 70th anniversary of Halifax Agricultural Show at the weekend.
This year’s event included a 1940s theme and the show hosted record numbers of entries in many categories.
Joint vice chairman and cattle secretary Dean Fleming said: “There’s been a lot of interest in Halifax, from as far out as Scotland. I can’t think of a bigger event in the area and the 70th anniversary is definitely a milestone.”
