CUBS from across Calderdale showed off their culinary skills at the District Cubs Cooking Competition.
Seven teams from across the district took part in the cook off at Heath Rugby Club, West Vale.
Each team, made up of three eight to ten year olds, was challenged to create a three course meal for a buidget of only £5.
First place went to 7th St Georges A Team; in second place was 35th All Saints and there was further celebration for 7th St Georges as their B team picked up third spot.
The winners will now go on to represent Halifax District in the County competition.
Some of the creations included beef stir fry, chicken wrapped in bacon with a soft cheese stuffing, spaghetti bolognese, beef tomato crunch and vegetable goulash.
And for dessert the cubs rusted up strawberry & cream flan, sliced banana in homemade toffee sauce with cream and scruffy scout trifle
The competition was judged by assistant county commissioner Mark Pullen and Halifax district camp co-ordinator Neil Asling.
