A popular store in Hebden Bridge is celebrating its 10th anniversary, and is still going strong despite three floods.

Noir, on Bridge Gate, is owned by Clare Spencer and sells various items to bling up people’s homes and lives, including lamps, jewellery and much more.

Clare said: “After working as a window dresser in Harveys of Halifax for over 20 years, I felt it was time to have my own shop.

“The natural choice was Hebden Bridge as I have always loved the town.

“I tried to think what the town needed and I came up with a bling shop.

“Every girl and some of the boys enjoy a bit of Bling!

“And so it evolved. I love it. I have very loyal customers and have made some great friends over the years.

“One of the highlights of opening the shop was winning the Best retail Display of 2010 in London.

“The worst times were of course, the floods in 2013 and 2015. Especially the big one on Boxing Day 2015 where we lost everything.”
