Disruptions possible during Yorkshire motorway roadworks

Clearly signed diversion routes will be in place at the following closures.

- The hard shoulder on the M1 Junction 39 at Denby Dale to Junction 42 is currently closed in both directions as part of the Smart Motorway scheme. There will be narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit in place until the project is completed in Autumn this year.

The northbound entry slip roads at Junction 39 and 41 will be closed overnight on Monday August 10 and the two junctions’ southbound exit slip roads will be closed overnight on Tuesday August 11.

The southbound entry and exit slip road at Junction 41 and the southbound exit slip road at Junction 39 will be closed overnight on Wednesday August 12.

Junction 41’s northbound exit and southbound entry slip roads will be closed overnight on Thursday August 13.

The northbound and southbound side of the motorway will also be reduced to a single lane from August 10-15. All Junction 39 and 41 closures will take place from 8pm-6am.

- The westbound exit slip road on the M62 Junction 29 at Lofthouse, Wakefield, will be closed overnight on Thursday August 13 from 8pm-6am.

The clockwise exit slip road on the M621 Junction 4 at Hunslet, Leeds, will be closed for routine maintenance works on Saturday August 15 from 5am-10am.

The anti-clockwise exit slip road at the junction will be also closed on Sunday August 16 from 5am-10am.

- The M62 Junction 26 at Bradford will have narrow lanes and a 30mph speed limit in place until April 2016.

The slip roads and roundabout at the junction will be reduced to a single lane overnight during August 10-15, from 7pm-6am.

The eastbound entry slip road and two plus lane will also be closed from 8pm-6am on Sunday August 16.

- The westbound side of the trunk road on the A64 Copmanthorpe to Askham Bryan at York will be closed overnight for carriageway improvement works during August 10-14 from 8pm-6am.
