Distinctive coins stolen in Bradford house raid

Police are appealing for information about some distinctive gold coins which were stolen in a burglary in Bradford.

The five commemorative Austrian coins, which feature the head of Emperor Franz Joseph I on one side and a crowned double-headed imperial eagle on the other, were among items taken when thieves broke into a house in Silverhill Drive on the evening of Wednesday, December 31.

Also taken was a quantity of jewellery and an HP laptop computer.

Detective Inspector Paula Bickerdike, of Bradford District CID, said: “These coins are very distinctive and I would urge anyone who has seen these coins, or any coins like these since the evening of 31 December to contact the police.

“Anyone with information about the burglary is also asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
