Dogo Argentino puppy seized in Bradford under Dangerous Dogs Act

A DANGEROUS-dog investigation led to a puppy being seized in Bradford.

Police took the dog - believed to be a dogo Argentino - from a vehicle on Lumb Lane in Bradford last night (Tuesday).

Dogo Argentinos are listed as dangerous dogs under the 1991 Act and are rare in the UK.

The puppy has been taken to kennels where it will be assessed by experts who will check whether or not it is a dogo Argentino.

Two vehicles have also been seized for forensic inquiries.

Three men - aged 23, 24 and 27 and all from Bradford - have been arrested and bailed pending further inquiries.

Sergeant Adam Crisp said: "West Yorkshire Police is committed to removing dangerous dogs and prosecuting their owners. We will carry out extensive inquiries to bring any offenders to justice."
