Police inquiries are continuing into a road accident in the early hours of today(Sun) and want to trace the driver of a Renault Clio.
His car crashed into the central crossing point at Burnley Road near Hill Crest Garage, Halifax, hitting a bollard and street light.
The driver fled the scene at 2.45 am leaving his male passenger trapped in the vehicle.
Halifax firefighters gave him first aid and cut off the car roof and released him.
An ambulance crew took him to hospital with injuries thought not to be serious.
The Western Area Road Police Team are appealing for witnesses or anybody with information to contact them on 101.
