A CONVICTED drug dealer who was caught selling heroin and cocaine to an undercover police officer has been jailed again for 28 months.
Bradford Crown Court heard how 35-year-old Farooq Mohammed, of Surrey Street, King Cross, Halifax, was charged with a series of offences after he was arrested as part of Operation Irondale.
A judge heard yesterday that in 1999 Mohammed was jailed for four years for dealing in heroin.
Prosecutor Simon Haring said Mohammed was involved in supplying either heroin or cocaine to an undercover police officer on various dates between August and November last year.
At an earlier hearing Mohammed, who is married, admitted a total of 14 charges of supplying Class A drugs.
The court heard that Mohammed’s offending arose out of his own drug misuse.
Judge John Potter told Mohammed that those who supplied Class A drugs must expect to receive and would receive significant custodial sentences.
