A DUCK shed that attracted 16 letters of objection has been approved by councillors.
The application was submitted by Mr M Gibbons to replace a chicken shed at Knowl End Farm, Todmorden.
Objectors complained about the proximity of the 3m by 8m shed to local natural beauty spot Great Rock.
The objections were dismissed on the grounds the shed would be no higher than the existing chicken shed and would not impose on Great Rock.
Coun Martin Peel (Con, Sowerby Bridge) said: "I'm just staggered this applicant had to spend money to get approval to build a duck shed built on agricultural land."
