All smiles at Ryburn as new GCSE results record is set

Pupils at Ryburn High bucked the national trend of falling GCSE pass rates to achieve the school’s best ever results.

Headteacher Honor Byford said: “Following the excellent A Level results last week, Ryburn is celebrating again. School records have been smashed having achieved a phenomenal 72% 5A*-C including English and Maths-an increase of 11% on last year.There are some fantastic individual results with 1/4 of our students obtaining 5 A* and A grades.
