Pupils from Parkinson Lane Community Primary School showed off their impressive skills when they played in the under 11’s National Cricket Finals.
After being crowned Yorkshire champions the team took part in the nationals at Headingley and came out fifth overall.
It’s the first time the school had qualified for the prestigious event which followed some tough after school training.
Headteacher, Irm Ahmed, said: “It was a really wonderful tournament and the children conducted themselves in a gracious manor. The children are a credit to the school, this community and their families. It has been a great joy to watch them.”
