To lay the foundations of Ravenscliffe@Spring Hall, the school needs the community of Calderdale to back their cause.

Headteacher Martin Moorman said: “If you can help publicise our cause we would love to hear from you.

“If you own a local business could you offer some practical support or donate some materials?

“It would be fantastic if local employers chose us as their charity of the year.

“Little efforts can make a big difference - whatever individual support you can offer will be greatly appreciated by all of us at Ravenscliffe.”

He said: “We’re asking the community to participate in our 2014 Community Challenge - collectively, we’re hoping to complete sponsored walks, runs, cycles and swims around the world (24,000 miles) in two days. It’s not only a great way to attract sponsorship but a chance to be part of something special - where the whole community pulls together to help fund a much needed and deserved facility for Calderdale and our most vulnerable young people.”

Buy-a-Brick for Ravenscliffe:

You can buy a gold, silver or bronze brick to help build the Ravenscliffe Spring Hall dream.

To raise the much needed capital for construction, Ravenscliffe is asking you to buy a brick for the new centre.

In appreciation of your donation the new centre will display a piece of artwork collating all the names of contributors.

“Your brick and your name will always be a part of Spring Hall Sixth Form and Community Centre,” said Mr Moorman.

The scheme is hoping to raise £100,000 through community donations.

A bronze brick can be bought for £10, a silver brick is £20 and gold bricks cost £30.
