A pioneering school chef cooked-up a whole lot of nutrition with some help from Sweden - in an international school exchange.
Ravenscliffe High School, Halifax, chef Tony Mulgrew cooked a fish meal with Lyndon McLeod for pupils’ and visitors, yesterday, in a bid to encourage students to eat more nutritious meals.
Tony said: “It’s important that kids eat well - fish is a great source of Omega 3 oil which is great for the brain and concentration.”
Lyndonsaid: “There’s fantastic work taking place around school food in England. Serving nutritious and tasty food is so important and gives pupils a brighter and healthier future.”
Tony will travel to Sweden later in the month where he will learn about Swedish school dishes.
