West Vale Primary school pupils are becoming switched on to web safety.
Pupils and their parents took part in ESafety week, which teaches them to be safe when surfing the net.
The school brought in web safety experts who held special workshops and assemblies to help children, and parents, to spot the danger.
Head teacher Rachel Kemp said: “We used to just have fire safety and road safety lessons at school, but now we need web safety too.”
“At school all the sites children visit are filtered and monitored, but we found that at home they have more freedom to look at what they want.
“Quite often they end up on sites not intended for them, so it was as important to remind parents of how to stay safe online as it was for the children,” she said.
