Rastrick High School is delighted to have been shortlisted for the Best School Music Department Award at the 2018 Music Teacher Awards for Excellence!
Created to celebrate excellence in music and performing arts education and dubbed the Oscars of the arts education sector, the awards are presented in thirteen categories, from new products and resources, to hubs, music departments and individual contributions to the sector.

Up against four schools nationwide, Rastrick High School will join over 280 industry guests including teachers, hub leaders, musicians and VIPs – representing the best and brightest in performing arts education.
Director of Music, Sue Fake says, “We are absolutely thrilled and delighted to have been nominated for this award which recognises the hard work, commitment and dedication of the Music Department staff; it really is a whole team effort. It was a complete surprise and we would like to thank everyone who nominated us for the award.
