Hipperholme Grammar played host to 93 children from 20 primary schools for Yorkshire’s first choral workshop.
The pupils were given expert tuition by the junior school’s music teacher Joan Zarneh and Alex Woodrow, the director of music at Bradford Cathedral, which included singing in foreign languages and various singing techniques.
They practised singing in rounds, singing a hymn in Latin and sang songs including London’s Burning and Row, Row, Row Your Boat.
The pupils gave a full concert at Bradford Cathedral in front of their families, where there were solo performances by Hipperholme Grammar Sixth Form students Oliver and Rebecca Firth and additional performances by the Hipperholme Grammar Junior School choir and the Sixth Form elite choir.
Mrs Zarneh, from Hipperholme Grammar, said: The workshop was a creative activity that was uplifting and inspiring and I’m certain the experience was enriching for all who took part.”
Alex Woodrow, from Bradford Cathedral, said: “It was fantastic to see such a strong interest in singing among primary school children in the region.
