Sowerby Bridge’s High School leavers went out in style in their end of year prom at Berties Banqueting Rooms, Elland.
Year 11 students sparkled in their smart and sophisticated evening attire fit for a ball.
The ticketed event included a three course meal for 146 staff and students. Party-goers were treated to chart-topping tracks from Berties resident DJ.
The best dressed awards, voted by staff, went to Marria Akhtar and Lenny Pervez. Declan Doran and Laura Ellis were crowned as Sowerby Bridge High School King and Queen - voted for by pupils.
Belles of the ball arrived by limousine and even a Lamborghini.
The boys and girls made sure they didn’t turn into pumpkins as the prom ended at midnight.
Organiser and head of year 11 Mrs Janet Coates said: “The pupils have been a very close year group, it’s taken a lot of time to organise it - but it’s worth it to see them all dressed up and having a good time before they go on study leave and then begin new chapters in their lives.”
