The hard work of North Halifax Grammar School pupils was praised at a special prizegiving celebration.
Hundreds of prizes were presented to students in recognition of their work throughout the year.
During a speech to guests, Andrew Fisher, head teacher at the school, congratulated pupils on securing the school’s record A-level results in 2014.
He said: “You did everybody proud and I am happy to pay tribute publicly to your hard work and your great spirit in creating such a landmark.
“The event is very much a highlight of the year when we take a little time out of the hurly burly of everyday school life to applaud and pay tribute to the hard work and talent of the students, staff, parents, carers and the wider school community who are all collectively responsible for the achievements we are celebrating today.
“A very big ‘well done’ to you all.”
He also spoke about the school’s successful bid for nearly £1 million of capital funds to replace roofs and windows.
