Egg-cellent events! What's on across Calderdale this Easter weekend

There's plenty of events happening across Calderdale this weekend to keep the whole family entertained.

Here are ten of the best events that are taking place from Good Friday to Easter Monday, and a few in the days that follow, in Calderdale. For more events taking place in the next week click here.

The traditional Pace Egg Plays are returning to the Calder Valley on Good Friday once again this year. Taking place in Heptonstall and Hebden Bridge throughout the day it is quite unusual but not to be missed.
Its not Easter without a visit from the Easter Bunny and Eureka in Halifax is giving youngsters the chance to say hello to the bunny with a difference. From Friday 19 through to Monday 22 April.

The Hebden Bridge Duck Race is a highlight of the Easter calendar. See thousands of yellow ducks race down the river on Easter Monday at 3.15pm being urged on by spectators to be the first to cross the finish line.
There will be the chance to meet the cutest spring lambs at The Piece Hall on April 22. Ryeland ewes and lambs will be in the courtyard from 10.30pm to 3pm and there will also be other themed activities to take part in.
From April 19-22, 11am-4pm, the Cadbury Bunny will have laid out clues all over Hardcastle Crags, Hebden Bridge, and will have visitors hunting high and low to claim a chocolatey reward.
Wainhouse Tower is an iconic Calderdale landmark and on Easter Monday visitors will have the chance to climb to the very top. There are 403 steps to climb but it will be worth it to see the fantastic views.
On April 19 and 20 there will be an evening of entertainment at The Piece Hall in Halifax with a performance of Zara. It promises to be an interesting experience with a baby thats bigger than a double decker bus.
The traditional Easter Sunday service at Halifax Minster will take place from 9am with Eucharist. At 10.30am there will be Choral Eucharist with Brass followed by an Easter Egg Hunt for children.
Join the Shibden Bunny in search of eggs and friends hidden in Cunnery Wood at Shibden Hall, Halifax on April 25. There will also be the chance to make a felt Easter-themed craft. To book a place call 01422 352246.
On April 25 the Easter panto will be coming to the Victoria Theatre, Halifax. Peter Pan stars Art Attacks Lloyd Warbey as the titular character with Dani Harmer as Wendy and Bobby Davro as Smee.
