Eighth year of It’s A Knockout for inspirational Elland girl

An It’s A Knockout event is being held this weekend in aid of an inspirational girl from Elland.

Amelie Gledhill, 10, has a rare genetic condition called Russell Silver Syndrome, which limits her growth and causes a number of other problems.

This will be the eighth year the family are holding the competition and the event will raise money for Amelie to get a new wheelchair before she starts at Brooksbank School, Elland, in September.

The event will take place on Sunday (June 24) at Greetland Community Centre from 10am to 6pm.

As well as the It's a Knockout competition there will also be a raffle, food, stalls and more to keep people entertained and raise as much money as possible.
