An elderly lady had to be rescued after falling down a steep slope in Cragg Vale last night (Monday).
After falling, the lady landed in a ditch at the bottom of the slope and when emergency services arrived, was confused and suffering from hypothermia.
The woman had been reported missing to West Yorkshire Police prior to the accident and Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) were called at around 6.30pm to assist the Yorkshire Ambulance Service.
Once on scene, CVSRT members located the paramedic attending to the woman and evacuated her on a bell stretcher.
She was then transferred to an ambulance and taken to hospital.
