Elliot will light up church with charity event

A talented young lighting designer has organised a special event to raise money for the Forget Me Not Children's Hospice.

Elliot Baines, 13, of Hebden Bridge, travels across the UK designing lighting for festivals and events. And on Saturday, the Calder High School pupil will turn his talent to a charitable cause with a show at St Thomas the Apostle Church, Heptonstall. While he is raising money for the hospice, the show will also be held in memory of his older brother Jacob Chothia, 21, who tragically died in a motorbike accident in August.

Doors open at 7pm and the light show will start at 8pm. From 9pm there will be entertainment at The Cross Inn. Elliot thanked all who have supported him, particularly Avolites London, which has lent him equipment for the show.
