Blooming great results for Calderdale at Yorkshire in Bloom

Calderdale is celebrating some blooming marvellous results in this year’s Yorkshire in Bloom competition.

Five entrants from Halifax won a medal at the annual contest, while the Friends of Sowerby Bridge Railway Station won a Conservation Award in the Discretionary Yorkshire Rose Awards.

Mill Bank won the Small Village category, while Ripponden took silver in the Large Village category.

In the Urban Community category, Elland took silver, while Todmorden won the Town category.

Halifax won a silver gilt in the Large Town category, with Harrogate taking gold.
