Calderdale highways contractor Amey has picked up a third consecutive Considerate Constructors Scheme Award for the way they consider the need of workers, neighbours and the environment.
Amey is responsible for road repairs, street lighting and winter maintenance across 1,090km of roads in Calderdale.
The company received a bronze award at a ceremony in Manchester.
Account manager Stuart Nichols said: “It is fantastic to be, once again, receiving recognition for our sustained commitment to the communities we work in.
“We have more than 60 staff at our Halifax depot, many of whom also live in the area; when you are delivering services on your own doorstep, you really understand how our work can impact Calderdale residents.”
The Considerate Constructors Scheme National Site Awards are issued annually to companies who show excellent standards of neighbourliness, cleanliness, environmental care and staff welfare.
