Consultations on proposed pedestrian and cyclist crossings in Elland and West Vale

Consultations are taking place for pedestrian and cyclist crossings relating to the Elland Access Package.

The proposed order includes details for five crossing, including both toucan and parallel zebra crossings.

Toucan crossings allow both pedestrians and cyclists to cross at the same time.

Parallel crossings are similar to zebra crossings, but include a cycle route alongside the black and white stripes.

The proposals include an upgrade to the crossing on Rochdale Road in West Vale, north-west of the junction with Fox Court. Picture: Google Street View.placeholder image
