A PUBLIC inquiry to decide whether Todmorden will get a fourth major supermarket will begin on July 24.
The event is expected to last four days, pitting conservationists against free marketeers.

Calderdale Council planning officers recommended the scheme for approval but it was turned down by councillors because of the potential impact on existing traders.
The town already has a Morrison’s supermarket and a Lidl store, and work is due to begin this summer on an Asda store opposite the market.
