Calderdale’s best parks have again retained Green Flag Award status.
They are Centre Vale Park, Todmorden; Manor Heath Park, Halifax; The People’s Park, Halifax; Ogden Water Local Nature Reserve, Halifax; Shibden Estate, Halifax; Wellholme Park, Brighouse; Bailiff Bridge Memorial Park, Bailiff Bridge.
The awards recognise well-managed, high quality green spaces.
Council spokeswoman Coun Pauline Nash said: “Our parks and open spaces are really important to us and we are so pleased that we have achieved Green Flag Awards for all seven of our entries again this year.”
The Shibden Estate also won the prestigious national Green Heritage Award for the third year running for maintaining best practice and upkeep.
