Black Dyke Band, of Queensbury, has been declared European champion.
It competed against stiff competition in Holland and the band last won the title in 2005.
Performances of Vita Aeterna Variations by Alexander Comitas and Black Dyke’s own choice test piece Revelations by Philip Wilby brought top marks.
Despite an early number two draw the band managed a four-point victory overall.
Principal conductor and director of music, Dr Nicholas Childs said: “I have a wonderful band to conduct, all of whom work so hard.”
The band will defend it’s English National title at Preston on June 25.
