The Courier’s new walking column will showcase the best of the district’s walks.
Pick up this week’s paper to see this week’s route, which explores Ogden Kirk, Nab Hill and Warley Moor from Causeway Foot.
There is also a handy guide to organised walks coming up in Calderdale, but we need your help to unearth even more walking routes across the borough.
So whether it’s an old favourite, a hidden gem, or a route with breathtaking views of our stunning landscape, we want to know all about it - and share it with fellow readers

The CREW walking group enjoyed a four-mile stroll around Warley. They began in Warley Village and meandered along Stocks Lane to West View Park for a coffee stop.
The group walked to Warley Edge and took in some stunning views, before stopping at the Maypole Inn for a well-earned lunch.
CREW (Cardiac Rehabilitation by Exercise and Walking) is a local cardiac support charity offering exercise classes, educational sessions, a weekly 4 to 5 mile walk and social events for people with cardiac and circulatory problems.

Here is your guide to organised walks coming up in Calderdale:
On Monday, February 2, there will be three walks organised by the South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
Meet at 10.45am outside Illingworth Moor Methodist Church for a 30-minute short walk. Refreshments will be available following the walk.
At 11am, there will a 60-minute slow walk in Todmorden. Meet outside the main entrance of Todmorden Market.
And from 1pm there will be a 60 to 90 minute walk of moderate difficulty around Ovenden. There will be some inclines and walkers are asked not to bring dogs.

On Tuesday, February 3, there will be a ‘Best Foot Forward’ walk from Elland with Breast Cancer Care.
Best Foot Forward walks are free, low impact, volunteer led local walks lasting between 30 minutes and an hour,
They provide a supportive and sociable environment for people who have been affected by breast cancer - including family and friends.
There is no need to register - turn up on the day and a walk leader will be there to welcome you.

Meet at the Barge and Barrel Pub, Park Road, Elland at 10.45am for an 11am start.
Calderdale Ramblers will hold an eight-mile walk around Ripponden on Sunday, February 8.
The walk will be of moderate difficulty.
Meet at 10.30am at Mill Fold Car Park, off Elland Road.
