There was fun for all the family at Northowram’s annual Scarecrow Festival.
The village pulled together to make the weekend a success and many put their fantastic creations on display for all to see.
Despite the weather, organisers say thousands turned out to support the event and enjoy all the weekend had to offer.
As well as scarecrows there was a treasure trail, a vehicle rally, bouncy castles, cream teas and barbecues, children’s crafts and games, plus live music to keep visitors entertained all weekend.
Helen Silson, a member of the event committee, said: “There has been things going on throughout the whole village and it’s been a really good weekend.
“Thousands of people turned out. Even though the weather has not been great, people still came.”
The event raises money to enhance the village and benefit the community. A new memorial stone, placed outside the Old School House in the village, was funded by money raised from the event
Since its beginning three years ago, the weekend has become a regular and popular event on the Northowram calendar with many villagers getting involved.
