They say a way to a partner’s heart is through their stomach, and if you fancy a nibble this St Valentine’s Day, Todmorden Chippy at Stansfield Road, Todmorden, has just the tasty treat for you!
Last year Ian Davidson and his partner Sue Hanson decided to make a chnage from chocolates, cooked up some heart-shaped fritters instead and found they sold like hot cakes, so they are frying them up again this year .
Ian said: “We were fed up with traditional gifts such as roses, chocolates and jewels so we decided to offer our customers the chance to buy a Valentines Day fritter for their loved one - better value than expensive gifts at only 40p and tasty too!
