Festive coffee morning for Marie Curie

Norwood Green Village hall was full to bursting as Margaret Hanson held her Festive Coffee Morning in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The event was in memory of Margaret’s husband Hans-Ulrich Hanson who sadly passed away in July this year at the Marie Curie Hospice in Bradford. Margaret, along with her daughter Heidi and Ulrich’s sister Eve, received amazing support from friends, family, neighbours and the Halifax Fundraising Group - raising almost £1,000.

There was home-made soup on offer along with stalls selling cake, jewellery, hand massages and Marie Curie Christmas cards and gifts.

Local Community Fundraiser, Lucy Burnett said: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to Margaret and everyone who helped her for organising this fantastic event in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care. It costs £3.4 million to run the hospice and we wouldn’t be able to continue to provide the exceptional care that we are so proud to offer here at the Bradford Hospice without the support from the local community.”
