Fire crews called to car fire

Firefighters dealt with a car fire in the early hours of this morning (Thursday).

Crews from Rastrick Fire Station were called to Curzon Street, Bradley, at around 12.30am.

Laurie Hayman, crew manager at Rastrick fire station, said a parked Volkswagen Golf was on fire when they arrived.

He said the car was “significantly damaged” by the blaze.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is now underway.

No-one was injured in the incident.
