Fire crews called to blaze in Wyke

They were called just before 9pm to the building at Town Gate.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said the fire was located on ground floor with 50 per cent of the area involved in the blaze.

Crews used two hose reels, four fire-fighters wearing breathing apparatus and a high powered fan to clear the building of smoke.

They added that there were no reports of any people being involved.

Pumps from Odsal and Cleckheaton attended along with a Fire Investigation officer to investigate the cause.
