Fire crews from two counties tackling huge Calderdale moorland blaze

Firefighters are tackling a huge moorland blaze in Calderdale.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service received reports of the fire off Turvin Road, Blackstone Edge.

The fire is 100m in length with firefighters using eight beatres, two leaf blowers, five large jets and one hose reel jet.

A specialist wildfire Land Rover is used to extinguisg the fire

Appliances from Mytholmroyd, Halifax, Illingworth and Rochdale, wildfire crews from Todmorden and Keighley are in attendance.
