Firefighters cut person free in Elland crash

A person trapped inside a car following a collision in Elland was freed by firefighters late last night (Saturday).

Firefighters had to remove the roof of the car to free the trapped person at 11.30pm.

Crews from Elland and Brighouse attended the crash, which involved two cars - a Vauxhall Astra and a VW Fox.

The freed woman was later taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.

Firefighters were in attendance for about an hour.
