A blaze swept through a barge moored in Hebden Bridge in the early hours of this morning (Friday).
Fire crews from Halifax were called to Mayroyd Moorings at around 4.40am, where they found the boat on fire in the middle of the Rochdale Canal.
A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said it’s thought the fire had been started deliberately.
The fire gutted the boat and spread to a wooden jetty and caused some damaged to another boat moored nearby.
Large jets were used to extinguish the fire and firefighters left the scene at around 6am.
