Businesses in Elland have united to provide a Christmas Fair to inject some festive spirit into the town.
Led by Helen Moles of Lippylicious and Rebecca Sedgewick of Anon Lingerie, the Elland Christmas Fair will be held at Bertie’s on Sunday 25 November.
The event is not for profit, or charity, but is being run by Elland traders to promote the town.
More than 20 stalls have already confirmed their attendance, with as many as double that expected to confirm this week.
There will be face painting and glitter tattoos, as well as the Old Earth School Choir and a live band “The Swing of Things” performing during the day.
There will also be a chance to meet real life reindeer in the car park next to Bertie’s and even Father Christmas will be there.
Businesses will be putting up their own decorations to create a homemade feel, and there will also be a giant paper chain link for every business.
The event is free of charge and will take place between 11am and 4pm
Due to road surfacing work for the new Morrisons store, access to Bertie’s from the Brighouse area will be through West Vale or Rastrick.
