Floods inspire a new art exhibition
Entitled ‘The Useless Made Useful’, the work is inspired by complaints that the political response to the flooding was ineffective. Every member of the Cabinet is featured on sandbags in a display at Machpelah Mill, suggesting they will be more useful if floods strike again.
The work is part of a wider exhibition called Watching Paint Dry, designed to help raise money for those hit by the floods. A share of all the sales made from the exhibition will be added to the flood relief fund.
