TRIBUTES have been pouring in for a much-loved Halifax woman who has died at the age of 20.
Amara Hemingway, from Southowram, died after collapsing in Halifax town centre at the weekend.
It is understood she was suffering from a rare heart condition diagnosed when she was seven.
As reported in yesterday’s Courier, paramedics were called to The Salvation pub in Bull Green just before 10.30pm on Saturday.
Police officers are believed to have admisistered resuscitation techniques.
Amara was taken to hospital but died on Sunday afternoon.
Police are not treating her death as suspicious.
Amara was a student at St Catherine’s High School and worked as a claims advisor for HBOS.
Several tributes have been posted on the Courier Facebook page.
They include: “RIP Amara, flying with the angels now xx” and “My thoughts are with her family. Such a sad loss. RIP, sweetheart, x x x”
