Four more strikes planned by ambulance workers

Starting this week, four more strikes have been called in the continuing dispute in the Yorkshire ambulance service.

Members of Unite will strike on Friday (21 March), Monday (24 March) and Saturday (29 March) between 3 pm and 8 pm on all three days.

There will be a further five hour strike between 3 am and 8 am on Monday 31 March.

The crux of the dispute, which is now more than a year old, is the introduction of elongated shift patterns that could mean staff working 10 hours without a meal break, according to the union.
