Fourteen men charged following Leeds United and Manchester United match

FOURTEEN men have been charged with offences after Tuesday’s match between Leeds United and Manchester United.

The men - who are aged between 19 and 58 - are charged with offences including drunk and disorderly, throwing a missile onto the playing field, ticket touting, public order, indecent/racial chanting, and possession of a Class B drug.

They will appear before Leeds Magistrates Court between October 4 and October 6.

Three men - aged 27, 38, and 40 - were released on police bail after being arrested on suspicion of public order offences.

A 23-year-old man received a fine for being drunk and disorderly.

Two 16-year-old boys received reprimands for public order offences.

And four men - aged 19, 23, 45 and 46 - who were arrested on suspicion of making off without payment were later released without charge. The 45-year-old received a caution for a public order offence.

Officers are continuing inquiries into the disorder and are studying hundreds of hours of CCTV footage, They say they expect to make more arrests over the coming weeks.
