Train enthusiasts were treated to a glimpse of the Scarborough Flyer as it stopped in Brighouse last Friday.

The steam loco, which departs from Crewe, passes through the Calderdale most Fridays because work further up the line in Stalybridge means that it can not take the usual route through Huddersfield.

It will travel along the Calder Valley line through Hebden Bridge on August 17, 24, 31 August and September 7 and 14 and stops in Brighouse at 9.53am and 7.56pm.
