Thousands of pounds were raised to help animals in need as proud dog owners showed off their pampered pooches at a dog show and fun day.
Organised by Knine and Kitty Care, the event, now in its sixth year, raised £1,500 for the organisation.
Held at Heath RUFC earlier in the month, there was plenty for all the family to enjoy including stalls, raffles, a tombola, face painting, a falconry display, plus a fun dog show and agility ring.
Clive Black, of Knine and Kitty Care, said: “It went very well, the sun shone for us and I think everybody enjoyed it. We also had a dog that came into our care - our foster carer brought him to the show and he was adopted.
“That’s a success story in itself. We are currently appealing for more foster carers as we are running a little short at the moment.”
The organisation, which rescues and rehomes dogs and cats, is run by volunteers and funds raised from the day will go towards necessities for the animals.
