A funding page to help pay for the funeral services of a teenager killed in Halifax has been set up.

Detectives in Calderdale issued an update on the investigation today as they named Jamie Brown as the victim of a fatal stabbing in Ovenden on Saturday night.

West Yorkshire Police’s Homicide and Major Enquiry Team (HMET) is continuing to appeal for witnesses to the incident in East Park Road, which happened shortly before 9.30pm.

On the page he said: "As many of you may know, a young, innocent, kind hearted lad named Jamie Brown sadly lost his life to a horrible attack involving weapons.

"The life and passing of young Jamie has affected everyone in the small town of Halifax, West Yorkshire and I would like to ask everyone to carry on spreading their love for little Jamie Brown and has family and to donate willingly to help cover the costs for Jamie to have the send off he deserves. R.I.P Soldier, gone but never forgotten! #J4J."
