A community action group is holding a music festival to raise funds to buy back a historic pub.

The Holywell Inn, Holywell Green, closed its doors in 2012 after falling into disrepair, but the Holywell Inn Action Group is fighting back against its closure and hope to raise enough money to buy it back.

The locals want to create a social interaction centre, offering free Wi-Fi, food, book clubs, cinema clubs and more.

Fundraising began in 2012 and has led the group to hold its latest event - Inn-ovation - a three-day acoustinc music festival held at Brooksbank School, Elland. The event will run from July 31 to August 2 - with enough room for 300 people each day organisers have promised a great, family fun event with music, workshops, food and a licensed bar.

Acts include The Strawbs, Roger Davies, The Poozies, Gabby Young plus others. John Walsh, chair of the chair of the Holywell Inn Action Group, said: “We are really looking forward to the event”.

To buy ticket for the event, visit Friday evening tickets are £15 and Saturday and Sunday tickets are £40 each. If you buy all three you will receive a £5 drinks voucher to use at the event.
