Organisers of Calderdale’s biggest annual charity event are returning to a decades‐old route for this year’s Halifax Charity Gala procession.

The ‘new’ route for 2015 will see floats and walking entries go down Corn Market – through the heart of the town centre.

This year, vehicles include a Knight Industries Two‐Thousand (KITT) Car, from the 1980s TV series Knight Rider, a tracked armoured personnel carrier and an American police car.

The procession will leave the Eureka! car park at 11.30am and will arrive at Manor Heath at around 12.30pm.

Chairman Lee Gething said: “The committee are thankful to the many local businesses and other organisations who provide their support into making our annual procession a success.

The gala is now in its 59th year and takes place on Saturday, June 13, in Manor Heath Park.

The day raises money for more than 50 good causes which benefit the people of Calderdale.
